Area Distance Measuring Tool 1.6.1

This application offers a straightforward tool for measuring area, perimeter, and distance, regardless of the shape being analyzed. It effectively calculates the area of arbitrarily shaped land parcels, such as polygons, triangles, hexagons, and other irregular forms.

The app is particularly useful for accurately determining GPS-based area, perimeter, and distance measurements. It provides two measurement methods:

• Manual input
• GPS-based recording

Manual Measurement:

Launch the Area Distance & Perimeter calculator app and tap on the map to add markers. The measured area, perimeter, and distance are displayed at the top of the screen. Select your preferred measurement mode—either (i) Manual or (ii) GPS. By default, manual mode is active.

In manual mode, users can place multiple markers on the map with a single tap. Markers can be deleted by tapping once on them or repositioned by dragging and dropping. To delete a marker, simply tap on it; to edit its position, hold the marker briefly and drag it to the desired location. This feature allows for precise adjustments without needing to remove or add new markers.

GPS Measurement:

Switch to GPS Mode by clicking on the hand icon on the left side of the interface. The area, perimeter, and distance metrics appear at the top of the screen. The application shows your current GPS location. To initiate recording, tap the Start button; your current position will be saved.

Once recording has begun, you can move around the target area. Tap DONE to stop recording; the app automatically logs your positions based on GPS data, eliminating manual input. Marker positions can be fine-tuned by dragging and dropping them directly on the map.
